About CyclefitCHICKS

CyclefitCHICKS (CFC) is a club where female-identifying cyclists can share their love for cycling in a safe, friendly, and encouraging environment. We provide a positive atmosphere where members can become stronger and more confident cyclists. CFC offers cycling opportunities at the beginner through advanced levels. Our membership spans all ages. We are a registered not-for-profit and are a volunteer-run organization.

We have programs, clinic events, and challenges to help members develop and refine their cycling skills and knowledge, while promoting physical activity and the achievement of personal cycling goals. Beyond cycling abilities, we promote the development of bike maintenance skills to help ensure that your bike is safe and that you can perform common repairs that may be needed while riding.

While we like to challenge ourselves, we also like to have fun! CFC social and cycling activities are fabulous ways for our members to develop rich friendships and to engage with the cycling community in our region and beyond.

CFC was founded in 2008 by Sylvie D’Aoust, a Chelsea/Ottawa area cyclist, since then over 1000 women from the National Capital Region have been club members. This season, we are proudly celebrating 15 years of CFC!

Events And Challenges

CFC organizes several social events and challenges each year. Many club members also participate in some of the special cycling tours and charity rides that take place each season.

Participating in these activities will help you enhance your cycling knowledge, provide you with a wider range of cycling experiences, build a network of cycling friends, and have fun.

We are always open to adding social events and offering new learning opportunities for our members. If you would like to organize a social event or a special workshop, please let us know.

The CFC “Members Only” Facebook page is always the best source of information about these activities.

*Please note that unless otherwise indicated, events, and challenges are “Members Only”.
